Jerry Hunter Freeman

Jerry Hunter Freeman, 80, of Gaston, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at West Side Holiness Church, 527 Augusta Street, West Columbia, SC 29169 with Pastor Brenda Hill officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at West Side Holiness Church.   Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree Street, West Columbia, SC 29170.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Tiger, Georgia a daughter of the late Robert Edgar and Cora Bessie Carnes Hunter.  Jerry was a member of West Side Holiness Church and loved her family and God.  She was an excellent cook and passed on her cooking excellence to her family.  She was married to the late James Leroy Freeman.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Scott) Kirby and Tina (Jimmy) Jeffcoat; grandchildren, Keith Freeman, Jr. (Latangela Jacobs), Sarah Freeman, Lindsey Freeman (Nathan Collett), Kacey Neiger (Arya Joseph Hekmat), Devin Kirby (Rebecca) Brianna Tardif (Harrison Hair), Colby Freeman (Destiny Reed) and Peyton Kirby (Taylor Sikes); eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Burton, Helen Dickson and Sue Hunter.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, James Keith Freeman; and nine siblings.
