Jeanne Anderson Derrick

Jeanne Anderson Derrick, 74, of Gaston, died Friday, October 18, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, at Pen Branch Cemetery with Rev. Blaine Hudson officiating. Mrs. Derrick was born in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late Edward Lee and Elizabeth Wyse Anderson.She was retired from the Baptist Medical Center.She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville, NC. Survivors include one son, Charles Caughman (Cheryl D.) Derrick, Jr. of West Columbia; two daughters, Anne Derrick Johnson of Woodford and Margaret Elizabeth (Larry) Vest of Gaston; one sister, Libba Anderson of Columbia; one brother, David Anderson of Columbia; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Caughman Derrick II, a grandson, Brent Johnson and a brother, Jimmy Anderson. The family will receive friends after the service at the Woodford Community Center. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
