Janis J. Rucker

Janis J. Rucker, 65, of Leesville, died Friday, July 19, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery near Swansea with Rev. Ricky Redmond officiating. Mrs. Rucker was born in Saluda County, a daughter of the late Curtis E. and Elvira Stoudemayer Johnikin.She was married to the late George P. Rucker. Survivors include two sons, Walter Rucker of Leesville and Bryan Rucker of Evans, Ga.; one granddaughter, Marya Rucker of North Augusta; one brother, Leonard Johnikin of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Judy Burnette of Ward and Joan Russo of Edgefield. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.
