James "Jim" Kevin Collenette

James “Jim” Kevin Collenette, 59, of Swansea, died Friday, June 26, 2015. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.Officiating at the service is Rev. H. Larry Jones and Rev. Dean Reynolds. Mr. Collenette was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania a son of the late Richard William and Mary Ellen Frink Collenette.Jim grew up in Ohio and loved to fish.He was retired from the US Army in 1994 after 20 years of service and was a member of the Veterans National Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honors Society.He received his Bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina and was owner of Carolina Information Technologies, computer company. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Joshua) Knoch; sisters, Colleen A. Newark Boltin and Carol Vaughn; brothers, John E. Collenette, Steve T. Collenette and David Shane Loughry; step-mother, Mary Ellen Collenette and a number of nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a brother, Rick Collenette.
