James J. Gartman, 76, of St. Matthews, SC, died Saturday, February 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel in North, SC.Burial will be in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in North, SC. Mr. Gartman was born in North, SC a son of the late Johnny and Florence Chavis Gartman.He was retired from Columbia Crawler Inc. as a heavy duty equipment mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Ella Marie Smoak Gartman; daughter, Shelia Youmans; step-daughters, Vicky Lynn Kemp and Brenda Lee (Tommy) Corbett; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a special granddaughter raised in the home, Holly Lynn Batts now serving in the U.S. Navy and nine great-grandchildren.Mr. Gartman was predeceased by three sisters; two brothers; one daughter, Sabrina Lambert; one granddaughter, Shanna Polin and two great-grandsons, Brandon and Matthew Lambert.
