Hoyt R. Fallaw

Mr. Hoyt R. Fallaw, 83, of Gaston, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Gaston with the Rev. Jim Fanning officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mr. Fallaw was born in Gaston, SC, the son of the late Harvey and Eva Kyzer Fallaw.He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed racing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marian Dowd Fallaw; sons Dwayne (Kay) Fallaw of the Netherlands and John Fallaw of Gaston; daughters, Kathy Fallaw of Gaston and Pamela (Bobby) Spires of Lexington; sisters, Betty Williams of Gaston and Mary (Charles) Snelgrove of West Columbia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.Mr. Fallaw was predeceased in death by his daughter-in-law Janet Ray Fallaw, granddaughter, Adrienne Nicole Fallaw, a brother and three sisters.
