Howard Gail Edman, Sr., 66, of Columbia, S. C. passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at King Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Edman and Rev. Gary Anderson officiating.Burial will be in King Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 9:00 AM. Mr. Edman was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Burnie and Francis Gantz Edman.He was a member of King Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Song Leader. Survivors include his wife, Mary Richardson Edman of the home; children, Howard (Erica) Edman, Jr., Katherine Linda (Richard) Ford and Brandon Gates; grandchildren, Caleb Ford and Serenity Ford; siblings, Burnie (Helen) Edman, Carolyn (Anthony) Divincenzo, Rick (Wilda) Edman, Willard (Dianne) Edman and Harold Edman.He was predeceased by three brothers, Ronald Edman, Clinton Edman, Johnny Edman and one sister, Linda Burt. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North, South Carolina.
