Hazel B. Gartman

Hazel Bolin Gartman, 96, of North, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North with Rev. Strong officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in North.

Mrs. Gartman was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Herbert and Willamena Elders Bolin.  She was married to the late Macon Gartman.  Mrs. Hazel was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and the Beaver Creek Indians.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Betty Cassidy and late Husband John Cassidy, Eunice (Tommy) Nettles, Robert (Hollie) Gartman and Carolyn Gartman; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by children, Sybil (Wayne) Ingram and Rodger Macon Gartman; and seven siblings, George Bolin, Herbert Bolin, Mary Gartman, Catherine Smith, Salley Parker, Ruth Zimmerman and Betty Walling.

Memorials may be made to Open Bible Baptist Church or the Beaver Creek Indians.
