Gracie S. Jeffcoat

Gracie Simpson Jeffcoat, 89, of Woodford, died Friday, July 18, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in North with Rev. Rick Jones officiating.Burial will be in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Jeffcoat was born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Reese and Carrie Simpson.She was a member of First Baptist Church of North and was involved in many church activities.She loved her family, gospel music and playing the piano.She was married to the late John L. Jeffcoat. Survivors include three sons John L. (Thelma) Jeffcoat, Jr., William R. “Bill” Jeffcoat, and Allen A. (Dana) Jeffcoat; two daughters, Mary Kaye (John) Turrentine and Pamela (David) Tompkins; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in North, one hour before the funeral and other times at the home 2304 Woodford Road, North, SC 29112.Culler-McAlhany (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) of North is in charge of arrangements.
