Glenn Smith, 83, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3rd, at Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Salley, SC with Randy Smith officiating. Mr. Smith was born in Aiken County, SC, a son of the late Bert and Lilly Ruth Sturkie Smith.He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.He was married to the late Mary Ruth Smith. Survivors include three daughters, Pat (Tony, Sr.) Gantt and Michelle (Ben) Douglas both of Swansea and Pansy (Tom) Oliver of North; six grandchildren, Dee Shirley, Tony Gantt, Jr., Frances Taylor, Eddie Bryant, Brandi Oliver and Cooper Douglas; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Blondean Kimble.Mr. Smith was predeceased a brother, Bert Smith, Jr. The family will receive friends Saturday at the graveside from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. before the service.Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
