Gladys C. Martin

Mrs. Gladys C. Martin, 86, of North SC died Saturday, May 16, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015. at North First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Jones and Rev. Larry Schull officiating. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, North SC. Mrs. Martin was born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Emmett and Leck Chavis. Survivors include her husband, Adrian C. Martin of North SC a son Carroll (Geri) Martin; one brother, Thomas Chavis, two sisters Vonna Lee (Ray) Williamson and Ona Lee (Bill) Chavis. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Dianne Martin and a granddaughter, Ashley Martin. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM at the fellowship hall of North First Baptist Church, North SC. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North First Baptist Church, SC Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of one’s choice.
