Geneva Hutto Butcher, 87, of Swansea, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church in Swansea with Rev. Robert Jumper and Rev. Stuart Pritchett officiating.Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelion.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Butcher was born in Swansea, SC, a daughter of the late William McKinley and Queenie Ethel Copeland Hutto, Sr.She was married to the late Edward George Butcher for 48 years.Mrs. Butcher was an excellent cook and loved by all.She was a member of Faith Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Survivors include her children, John (Jana) Butcher, Deborah (Jimmy) Lucas, Genie (John) Leeman and Mark (Patricia) Butcher; a son-in-law, Laverne Taylor; seven sisters; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.She was predeceased by two brothers. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North and other times at the home of John and Genie Leeman, 338 Basil Road, Swansea.
