Gene A. Jeffcoat

Gene A. Jeffcoat, 87, of Swansea, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 10:30 AM at Salem Baptist Church.The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside. Mr. Jeffcoat was born March 3, 1928.He was the son of the late Keller and Linda Craft Jeffcoat.He was a farmer and rural letter carrier.He served in the Navy from 1946-1947. Survivors include a brother, Roy Jeffcoat, and sister, Helen Emerson, both of Anderson; children, Ronald Jeffcoat, Becky Jumper and Stanley Jeffcoat; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife Isabell Hartley Jeffcoat.
