Franklin Mccoy Jumper

Franklin McCoy Jumper, 83, of Swansea, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church in Swansea with Rev. Ken Jumper officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM, one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.  Burial will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Mrs. Esca Jumper.

Mr. Jumper was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Dewey and Myrtis Smith Jumper.  He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where he served in many capacities including Deacon and youth leader.  He was the founder of Spring Branch Hunting Club serving as chairman for 25 years.  Franklin loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Esca Louise King Jumper; sons, Franklin McCoy "Frankie" (Jane) Jumper, Jr., Mark (Laura) Jumper and Todd Jumper; grandchildren, Clyde Darryl Jumper, Franki (Joe) Pou, Alma (Jeff) Whitfield, Emily Jumper, Isabella Jumper, Coy Jumper, Cara Jumper, Claire Jumper and Emma Jumper; great grandchildren, Joseph Hunter Pou, Franklin Jameson Pou, Analiese Chara Whitfield, Laurel Eden Whitfield and Genesis Ozias Kollie; and a sister, Orene Carter.  He was predeceased by a great grandchild, Sawyer McKenna Pou; and 5 siblings.
