Francesca Moscato

Francesca Moscato, 74, of Swansea, SC, formerly of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Francesca’s family is devastated with her loss, she sadly leaves her beloved children, Laura Beebe (William), Josephine Rudyk, Roberto Panno (Patricia), Fabrizia DiMaio (James), Rhonda Evans (Jeremy), Rita Argueta, and Roxanne Bustamante.  She will also be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Destiny Panno, Leah Perry, Jasmine Thompson, Karalyn Panno, Rosa Argueta, Justin Argueta, Laurina Panno, Isabella DiMaio, Jonathan Argueta, Dominic Moscato, Fabrizio Bustamante, Adrian Moscato, Angelo Moscato, Lincoln Argueta, Sophia Bustamante, her beautiful great-grandchildren, Adrianna Perry, Kingsley Thompson and Eva Thompson and Grandbabies, Amidala, Cheyenne, Bello & Brody.  Francesca also leaves her extended family and friends.

Francesca was born on March 18, 1948 in Avola, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonino and Giuseppina (Mazzacca) Moscato.  Francesca and her family, immigrated to America when she was nine years old with the promise of a better life for their family.  A talented seamstress, Francesca enjoyed creating beautiful outfits for herself and her family.  From simple skirts to elegant wedding gowns, everything she created was a masterpiece.  She was not limited to working with fabric, Francesca was also loved to knit, from blankets to scarfs and anything in between, everything she made was with love.  In her spare time she loved tending to her garden where she truly had a “green thumb”, whatever she planted, flourished.  Francesca also was a fabulous cook, she decided to share her culinary skills by opening a restaurant for others to enjoy her passion for creating delicious meals. During her career she owned and operated two restaurants where families not only were customers, they also became friends.  Francesca worked hard, but her favorite time was spent with her family.  She will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was good to all who knew her.

Services will be announced at a later date.  Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home, North, SC, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
