Frances Jean Goff Lee Knowlton, 84 years young of Sandy Run, SC, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family as she lost her battle with cancer.
Mrs. Knowlton was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ninkie McDowell Davis Goff and Daniel Webster Goff. She was married to the late Harold Benjamin Lee and leaves behind her loving husband Johnny Lee Knowlton. She is survived by her loving daughters, Ninkie (Wayne) Mack, Deborah (Jimmy) Backman and Cindy Lee; grandchildren, Daniel (Chrissy) Mack, Dennis Mack, Michele (Tracy) Cooper, Christopher Jeffcoat, Jessica Jeffcoat and Jennifer Jeffcoat; great-grandchildren, Shane (Bri) Cooper, Tyler Cooper, Justin Cooper, Kiley Cooper, Seth Cooper, Zachary Mack, Cole Jeffcoat, Charli Jeffcoat and Sophia Jeffcoat; great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Cooper, Laelynn Cooper, Landon Cooper, Avery Cooper and Liam Cooper; and her loving brother, Sammy (Wanda) Goff.
She loved to vacation in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. She had a love for animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggert and First Baptist Church services once she was unable to attend church. She loved playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren and having sleepovers with them.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her loving hospice nurses, Carmen Webb and Deborah Cook for the great care that was given to Mrs. Frances.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sandy Run with Rev. Donald Lee and Michael Lee officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Sunday at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Mack, Dennis Mack, Christopher Jeffcoat, Shane Cooper, Justin Cooper, Seth Cooper and Zachary Mack. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Cooper, Cole Jeffcoat and Brayden Cooper.
