Floyd Chavis

Floyd Chavis, 72, of Neeses, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 25, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, November 28, 2022 at Mount Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Henry Chavis officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Sunday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North. Mr. Chavis was born on August 11, 1950 in North, SC, a son of the late Aaron Chavis, Jr. and the late Beatrice Spires Smoak. Floyd was an avid fisherman, jokester and loved cooking. His last job before retiring was with Farm Boys BBQ in Columbia. Survivors include his daughter, Amy Chavis Neeley; his sister, Rhonda (Howard) Youmans of Calhoun, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cousins, Delby H. Nettles and Magdaline (Monkey Doodle) Hutto. He was predeceased by his sister, Ethel Marie Waltz. Pallbearers will be Don Nettles, Glen Hutto, Quinn Berry, Ronnie Williamson, Leland (Bubba) Waltz and Wells Gibson. Friends may visit at the home of Magdaline Hutto.
