Fletcher Eleby Sharpe

Mr. Fletcher E. Sharpe, 85, of North, SC, died at his home, Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 6822 North Road, North, SC with Rev. Larry Davis and Pastor John E. Sharpe officiating. Mr. Sharpe was born in Orangeburg County, SC, a son of the late Fletcher L. and Annie Mae Hutto Sharpe.He was a veteran of the US Army and served his country during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nancy Estes Sharpe; son, John E. (Barbara) Sharpe; daughter, Rebecca A. (Alvin) Pound; grandchildren, Tabbetha (Phillip) Williams, Amanda (Devin) Thompson, Rachel (Trevor) Goodin and Daniel Pound; great-grandchildren, Summerlyn Thompson, Jonathan Thompson and Bailey Williams; brother, Major Sharpe; sisters, Ester Gunter, Shirley Williams, Thelma Arnold, and Lois Gleaton; a number of nieces and nephews and a special niece, Kathy Brockenton.He was predeceased by brothers, Clinton Sharpe, Hilbert Sharpe, Nolton Sharpe, Joseph Sharpe and a sister, Lillie Mae Williams.
