Everett Houp

Everett Houp was a loving husband, father and grandfather.He died peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2022 at age 79. Everett was born in Wilmore, Kentucky, a son of the late Lucille and Raymond Houp on January 1, 1943.He served in the Air Force for eight years during which he served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.He was also stationed at Shaw Air Force Base where he met his wife of 59 years, Janie.Together, they had four children, Kadena (Jim), Trena (Michael), Jamie (Vernie) and Janet (Robbie).Survivors also include his grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jo and Patty; a brother, Jimmy; and several nieces and nephews. Everett loved building things, working on cars and studying history.He adored his two grandchildren, Olivia and Jace, and was excited about expecting a third. Everett will be honored in a celebration of life service at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North.
