Evelyn Elaine Starnes Williams

Evelyn Elaine Starnes Williams, 74, of Gaston, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 310 Gator Road, Gaston, S. C. 29053.  Burial will follow at Clinton United Methodist Church Cemetery, 332 Hollow Creek Road, Salley, S. C. 29137.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the service at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and worked for Lexington School District Two and Four for a number of years as an instructional assistant.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 58 years, Joe Williams; her stepmother, Sue Starnes; brother, Gary Starnes; sister, Brenda (Sandy) Northcutt; nieces, Cindy (Roger) Sandy, Donna (Thomas) Cox and Teri (Jason) Moore; and a host of other great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Buster Starnes and Judy Harman Starnes.
