Eula M. Chavis, 92, of Neeses, died Sunday, July 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at North Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Robbie Parnell and Rev. Sammy Hutto officiating.Burial will be in Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Chavis was born in Ballentine, SC, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie Ellisor Metz.She was a former employee of Horseman Doll Company, Capital City Manufacturing and a homemaker.She was a member of North Pentecostal Holiness Church and was married to the late Marion C. Chavis. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Chavis of Leesville and Phyllis (Steve) Harvey of Swansea; four sons, Marion Arthur (Julene) Chavis of Pelion, Lewis W. Chavis of Swansea, Tracy A. (Valerie) Chavis of Lexington, and James Paul (Frankie) Chavis of Point Blank, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Flynn and Patsy Comalander, both of Chapin; 22 grandchildren including Christopher Chavis reared in the home; 30 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Verdie Metz.She was predeceased by her son, Charles H. Chavis. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at her home, 121 Orchid Drive, Neeses.
