Ethel Knight Rucker

Ethel Knight Rucker, 89, of Gaston, died Sunday, May 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Beulah United Methodist Church of Sandy Run with Rev. Matthew Rucker officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joe Prevatte, Pete Tucker, Jay Poole, Butch Knight, Eddie Knight, David Shull and Brent Kohn. Mrs. Rucker was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Tom and Jenny Rucker Knight.She was married to the late Duward C. Rucker and retired from Beach Party Manufacturing of St. Matthews.She was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Matthew D. (Angela) Rucker and Jimmy (Becky) Rucker, both of Sandy Run; three grandchildren, James (Julie) Rucker, Katie Rucker and Rachel Rucker; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Aimsworth and Emma Caroline Rucker.She was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Rucker. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Thursday at Beulah United Methodist Church of Sandy Run before the service. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North is in charge of arrangements.
