Emma Hazel Calvitt, 85, of Norway SC died Friday, May 27, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Church visitation will begin at 3:00 PM.Burial will be in the church cemetery. Miss Calvitt was born in Norway SC.She was the daughter of the late Percy M. and Polly Onley Calvitt.She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist.After 30 years of service, she retired from The Methodist Oaks as a nursing assistant. Emma was a caring and giving person who enjoyed being with her family and friends and was always ready to give a helping hand. Survivors include sister, Annie Lou Morgan and brothers, Samuel Calvitt and Palmer Calvitt, sister-in-law’s, Brenda Calvitt and Rebecca Calvitt.She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Alice Morgan, Margie Woods, Mary Ellen Hamilton, Nina Sharpe, Claude Calvitt, J.R. Calvitt, and Martha Calvitt.
