Elizabeth “Tib” Williams, 99, of Elloree, S. C. passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Elloree First Baptist Church, 6208 Old Number Six Highway, Elloree, SC 29047. The family will receive friends in the Elloree First Baptist Church fellowship hall on Wednesday evening, May 8, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Tib was born June 4, 1924, and lived to the age of 99. She was the daughter of the late Reon Loudon Jeffcoat and Annie O’Vivia Huckabee Jeffcoat. She was educated in North Public Schools and a graduate of Draughons Business College, Columbia, S. C. Tib spent her youth and early years in Swansea, S. C. where she was active in church and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Howell Benjamin Williams, Jr. Tib and her late husband were members of Swansea First Baptist Church until moving to Stumphole Landing on Lake Marion, Elloree, S. C. in 1969 at which time she joined Elloree First Baptist Church. Tib worked for American Bank and Trust for 25 years in Swansea and Orangeburg, S. C.
Survivors include her children, Howell Benjamin (Janice) Williams, III and Beth Adams (Mike) McKinney and many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Howell Benjamin (Lisa) Williams, IV, Amy (Jason) Stevenson, Wesley Williams, Billy Williams, Heath (Jeanine) Jones and Brandon (Kristen) Adams and over a dozen great grandchildren. Tib was predeceased by two of her four children, Venson Williams and Donna O’Vivia (Billy) Jones.
Tib will be remembered for being a Prayer Warrior. She always prayed for anyone that needed prayer. Every phone call ended with a prayer for the person on the other line. She will be sorely missed.
