Mr. Hutto went to be with the Lord on June 20,2019.He was 90 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Williams and Rev. Calvin Snelgrove officiating.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Ed was born in Swansea on January 1, 1929 to the late Claude and Bonnie Hutto.He served in the Navy on the USS Boxer at the very end of World War II.He was awarded several commendations for his service.Ed enjoyed doing community service as well as hunting, fishing and driving his truck. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Catherine Goodwin Hutto; his five children, Harold Edward Hutto (Karen), Ronnie Laverne Sharpe Jr. (Alesia), Don Allen Sharpe Sr. (Melinda), Cathy Sharpe Jarratt (John), and Anita Ann Hutto; his nine grandchildren, Brandon Melton (Tamra), Renee San Miguel (Kevin), Maleah Sharpe, Jonathan Sharpe (Lindsay), D. Allen Sharpe Jr. (Buck), Michael Rayborn (Donna), Justin Jarratt, Grant Jarratt, and Ragan Jarratt; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his two sisters, three brothers, and one grandson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2019 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com).
