Edith Shields Waldrop

Edith Shields Waldrop, 92, of North, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church of North.Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM before the service at the church. Mrs. Waldrop was born in Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Milton and Dora Shields.After moving to North, she worked as a seamstress at North Manufacturing.She especially enjoyed her many creative hobbies.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North for many years. Survivors include her daughter Lynda Waldrop Ott (Ed) of Columbia, a granddaughter, Michelle Friday Norris (Austin) of Lexington, three great-grandchildren, Justin Cope, Wesley Friday and Hope Norris and one great-great grandchild, Huntly Grace Cope.She was preceded in death by her husband Eston Waldrop and a grandson, Chris Friday.
