Douglas Peter Beutler

Douglas Peter Beutler, 85, of North, S. C. passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Hopewell Southern Methodist Church, 311 Kurt Poole Road, Neeses, S. C.  29107 with Rev. John Hucks officiating.  Burial will follow in Pen Branch Cemetery, 35 Pen Branch Road, North, S. C. 29112.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Hopewell Southern Methodist Church, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Beutler was born in Wilkinsburg, PA, a son of the late Russell Beutler and the late Cecilia Grasser Beutler.  Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather, “Papa Doug”.  He enjoyed working in his shop and the outdoors when he was able, always had a bag of Werther’s Originals and loved his dog, Misty.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Hair Beutler; daughter, Shannon (Todd) Sandifer; son, Vincent “Marty” Martin Beutler (Lori); grandchildren, Landon (Kirstin) Sandifer, Alex Sandifer, Tori Sandifer (Spencer Mullinax) and Drayton Beutler; step-grandchildren, Christian (Lena) Munnerlyn and a great grandchild, Owen Sandifer; a sister, Susan Bramlett and a number of nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He was predeceased by a sister, Cecilia Creviston and brother-in-law, John Creviston.

Pallbearers will be Drayton Beutler, Landon Sandifer, Alex Sandifer, Russell Sharpe, Watson O’Cain and Addison O’Cain.
