Dorcas Busbee Hayden

November 29, 1927 — April 18, 2014

Dorcas Busbee Hayden, 86, of Swansea, died Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 at Red Bank United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Freeman and Rev. Robert Busbee officiating.Burial will be in St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery at Swansea. The casket will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Richard Hayden, Allen Fallaw, Ted Cook, Eric Powell, Ryan Hayden and Brian Powell. Mrs. Hayden was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Crosia Sharpe Busbee.She was married to the late Leroy Hayden.She was predeceased by two sons, Eddie and Dannie Hayden and one daughter, Mary Jo Hayden. She is survived by two daughters, Margie H. Cook of Pelion and Rose H. Morris of Gilbert; one son, Richard Anthony Hayden of Swansea; one sister, Ruth B. Smith of Columbia; two brothers, Jeremiah Busbee of Swansea and Tracey Busbee of Elgin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com). Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors.
