Donna Lloyd Petrey

Donna L. Petrey, 65, of Swansea, passed away on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024.

Born on May 4th, 1959, in Columbia, South Carolina, Donna was the beloved daughter of Eula Jean Woods Lloyd and the late Harvard Asher Lloyd.

Donna was dedicated to her husband, Mark; children, Chad and Heather; grandchild, Hunter and family. They were her passion and priorities. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. Donna had a passion for traveling and loved exploring new places with her family and friends. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She worked at Lexington School District 4 in food services.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, William Mark Petrey; her devoted children, Chad Petrey and Heather Petrey; and her adored grandson, Hunter Jackson (Alexis Lovette). Donna's vibrant and nurturing spirit will be forever cherished by her mother, Eula Jean Woods Lloyd, and her sisters, Mona (Dave) Shirer, Jennifer Lloyd, Teresa (Angelo) Tager and Sheila Drake (Kenny). She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart; and her four legged great-grands, Lilo, Levi and Webber. She was predeceased by her grandparents Claude & Lillian Jones and E. A. Petrey, Sr. & Samantha Cupstid Petrey.

A Visitation will be held at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home on Monday, November 18th, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will begin at 4:30 pm to honor Donna’s life and the incredible impact she made on the lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA (secure.aspca.org).
