Don Truman Wise

Don Truman Wise, a beloved son, brother, and friend, departed this world with his sister by his side on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at the age of 72. Don was born on August 2nd, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Don was a devoted member of Calvary United Methodist Church, joyfully greeting visitors and his church family every Sunday.

Don worked as a ground's keeper at The University of South Carolina until his retirement, he was a sports lover, an avid Gamecock fan also a Gamecock Club Member. He loved spending his fall Saturdays at Williams Brice Stadium watching his Gamecocks play.

He truly enjoyed his time spent at Uncle John's Pond on men's night.

His love for country music and music in general was enjoyed through many concerts.

He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Culler Wise, his sister, Stella, also aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Gilbert Wise.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to his caregivers, also his special caregiver and loving friend Gracie whose dedication and compassion provided him comfort and solace throughout his journey. The love and support he received were a testament to the precious role he played in the lives of many.
