Dollie Craps Spires

Dollie Craps Spires, 81, of Gaston, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, April 6, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Craps officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Antioch Baptist Church on Sunday.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Spires was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Hollis Craps, Sr. and the late Catherine Medlin Craps Sturkie.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and loved singing in her church choir. She graduated from Brooklyn Cayce High School and was a member of the Heaven Bound Quartet.

Survivors include her husband, Steve P. Spires; children, Vicki Craft, Steven Dwayne Spires, Dawn Marie (Allen) Lombr, Kristy (Lee) Cassidy and Lynn (Brian) Lindsey; grandchildren, Presley Craft (Richard) German, Holly Craft, Haley Craft, Tanner Lindsey, Austin (Brantley) Lombr, Amber (Dustin) Maroney, Brianna (Dusty) Early, Savannah Cassidy and Isabella Cassidy, ; siblings, Richard Caroll (Faye) Craps, Harold Sturkie, Jr., Michael Sturkie, Nita (Timothy) Dinkins and Rita; and a host of other family members.  She was predeceased by siblings, Hollis "Bubba" Craps, Jr., Linda Day, Judy Sightler, Jerry Craps, Gene Craps and Don Craps.

Pallbearers will be Richard German, C.J. Hand, Dwayne Spires, Lee Cassidy, Ricky Craps and Allen Lombr.

Culler McAlhany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
