Dennis Earl Chavis

Mr. Dennis Earl Chavis, of 57, of North, SC, passed away March 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rev. Walter Gleaton and Rev. Bobby Williams officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mr. Chavis was born in Orangeburg County a son of the late Kyzer and Sarah Hutto Chavis.He was a master diesel technician at Shealy Mack Trucks and a member of the Bee-Keepers Association. Survivors include two daughters, Ashley Churchwell (companion, Jason Creech) and Brittany Chavis; grandchildren, Myleea Churchwell, Tyson Churchwell, Carlee Chavis, Emma Williams and Elissa Williams; sisters, Alice (Tom) Hughes and Denise Chavis (companion, Rusty Callahan); brothers, Johnny (Debbie) Chavis and Victor (Patty) Chavis and a number of nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a son Rudy Williams and two sisters, Dianne Carr and Carolyn Davis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of Victor and Patty Chavis, 695 Comos Road, Neeses, SC.
