David Sturkie

David Sturkie, 65, of Swansea, South Carolina passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, July 1, 2022 at Calvary United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship hall of the church from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the funeral. Mr. Sturkie was born in McKeesport, PA, a son of Leitha Chavis Sturkie and the late James Sturkie, Jr. Mr. Sturkie was the 2nd Chief of Pee Dee Nation and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Survivors include his children, Jamie (Tammy) Sturkie and Lisa Morrow; grandchildren, Morgan Morrow and James David Sturkie, III; sister, Elizabeth Skyye Vereen and best friend, Cathy Wright. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is assisting the family.
