David Rhett "Coach" Bruner

Mr. David R. “Coach” Bruner, 72, of Gaston, SC, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North, SC with his son, Pastor David Shane Bruner officiating.Burial will be in Beaver Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Bruner was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Thomas Rhett and Essie Gleaton Bruner.He was a member of Another Chance Ministries and was an employee of Stone Manufacturing Company for 32 years.He later worked at T-Pack Corporation. Survivors include his sons David Shane Bruner and Joel Craig Bruner; his life-long companion, Minnie Lucas, four beautiful step-daughters and one step-son; one grandchild, Austin Rhett Bruner and one great-grandchild, Elliott Len Bruner; two sisters, Marie (Marvin) Robinson and Peggy Decker; brother, Rev. Wyman Bruner and two very special fur-babies, Champ and Brinks.He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, one hour before the service at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com), 4541 Savannah Highway, North, SC 29112.
