Danny Ray Woods, 71, of Pelion was totally healed of cancer by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his family, whom he loved dearly. The Six O’clock evening service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church by Pastor Josiah Mazzell and Rev. Gary Lee Romines.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Family visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.A private family graveside service will be held in the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, January 8, 2018 with Pall Bearers; Gerald Brown, Dusty Allen, Brad Doan, Michael Jackson, Freddie Rast, and Eddie Stabler. Masonic Rites will be presented by the Elmore Masonic Lodge #288 and Master Mason Shelton Lattimore. Mr. Woods was born in Knoxville, TN and was the son of the late Claude and Lillian Jones of Swansea.He was an E5 in the Army Reserves serving from 1965-1971, retired commercial construction manager, member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, member of Green Swamp Hunting Club Inc., Past Master of Elmore Masonic Lodge #288 of Pelion, an avid golfer and dedicated Clemson fan that will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda K. Woods of Pelion, son Cade Woods of Pelion, daughter Kimberly W. Wolfe (David) of Graniteville, son Branden Woods (Brittany) of Pelion, grandson Colby Woods, and granddaughters Lillyanna Wolfe, Autumn Woods, and Lilah-Grace Wolfe.Three sisters; Billie Cox of Oliver Springs, TN, Betty Prichard and Eula Lloyd of Swansea, stepsister Shirley Bolins of Chattooga, TN, two brothers; Kenneth Woods (Laura) of Cope, Larry Woods of Swansea and numerous family members from both his and his wife’s families. In addition to his parents, Mr. Woods is predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Gunter and Clara (Onie) Able, and stepbrother C.W.
