Craig Francis Stabler, resident of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, died October 14, 2014.He was 47 years of age.Craig, son of Francis and Elizabeth Lyttle Stabler, was born on November 17, 1966, in Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, grew up in Wisconsin, California and Michigan.He spent his adult life in Michigan. Craig loved the art of cooking and creating delicious dishes.He worked as a chef for several restaurants in Southeast Michigan, as executive chef for Sodexo Corporation and finally as Aramark’s executive chef running resident dining at Wayne State University. Besides his talents of cooking, Craig had a green thumb, enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.He was also a history buff and loved to travel.Craig lived life with purpose and will always be known for his laughter, smile and his love of life.The compassion and friendship he extended to others was truly a blessing. He is survived by his parents, his fiancé, Mary Ann Bellmore, and many loving family members and caring friends.He is predeceased by his grandparents, J. Ray and Lillian Stabler of Swansea, SC and William and Betty Lyttle, of Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Sardis Baptist Church, 1601 St. Matthews Rd, Swansea, SC 29160.
