Colby W. Furtick“Cob”, 94, of North, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bolen officiating.Burial will be in Salley Oakview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Furtick was born in Aiken County, a son of the late Robert Maury and Lester Kennerly Furtick. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Margaret Johnson Furtick who was his best friend; children, Judy Furtick Lybrand, Colby W. (Lawana) Furtick, Jr. “Bud”, Philip Johnson Furtick; grandchildren, Liesl Furtick Williams (Robert), Karen Lybrand Fischer, Stephanie Furtick Camp “Boots”, Jason Allen Lybrand (Anna), Ann Marie Furtick, Lawana K. Furtick Marchant (Jami), Philip Travis Furtick (Kari), Robert Michael Furtick, Jr. and Clinton Kayo Furtick; and 15 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Michael Furtick and a grandson, Bryan Colby Furtick.
