Cleta Phillips Chasteen, 74, of Gaston, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Gaston with Rev. Rex Simmons officiating.Burial will be Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia.The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the church before the service on Saturday. Mrs. Chasteen was born in Gastonia, NC, a daughter of the late Willie Riley and Mabel Grace Davis Phillips.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gaston and sold Tupperware for 35 years.She was married to the late M. Dean Chasteen. Survivors include her daughters, Trish (Dennis) Cline, Cathy (Jeff) Bowen and Sandy Chasteen; brothers, Don (Pat) Phillips and Roger (Doris) Phillips; sisters, Gail (G.C.) Davis, Pam (Doug) Yandle and Vickie (Rickey) Vick; a sister in Christ, Donna Fogle; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a numerous nieces and nephews.
