Clarice Chavis Williams, 89, of North, SC, died Thursday, March 17, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses, SC with Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM. Mrs. Williams was born on March 23, 1926, in Orangeburg County, SC, a daughter of the late Gene and Inez Foster Rutland.She was the widow of the late Mr. Rozell Chavis and remarried to Mr. Harold Williams.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses, SC. Survivors include her husband; son, Eugene “Pistol” (Mary) Chavis; daughter, Nancy (Robert) Corbett; grandchildren, Michael (Penny) Chavis, Dana (Jeffery) Spires, Wendy (Al) Braxton, Bryant (Stacy) Corbett and Taylor (Wesley) Hutto; seven great-grandchildren and sisters, Latrell (Thomas) Bolton and Doris Bolin. The family will receive friend’s Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome) and other times at 2271 Ninety Six Road, North, SC.
