Charles Ronald Turner

~ Charles Ronald Turner (Charlie) 78, of Cayce, SC, was welcomed into Heaven on the afternoon of July 14, 2022. Charlie was predeceased by his father, Charles Edwin Turner, and mother, Gloria Bach Turner. He was also predeceased by his sweet sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Peele Turner.

Charlie was a 1961 graduate of Dreher High School. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Brenda Peele Turner. Charlie is also survived by his dear sisters Nancy Rusher (Rick) and Pam Turner, nieces Heather Knitz and Jennifer Rusher, and nephew Christopher Rusher.

Charlie’s survivors also include everyone in his great big loving Peele family, Barry & Betty, Dennis & Teresa, Dee & David, Pam & Buddy, Butch & Marlena; Candace & Robbie, Matthew, Amanda, Ashley, Chase & Kate (Oliver & Millie), Jacob & Sloane (Eden), Brent, Brandon, Madison, Bradley, Landon, Kaitlyn, Emily, Blease, and Ryker.

Charlie served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in his own quiet way. He served his family with acts of kindness and generosity that came straight from his heart. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard, and he served his fellowman as a Miami Beach Police officer.

The desire of Charlie’s heart was to hear:

A service to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church, Highway 178, North, S.C. with Reverend Randy Lucas officiating. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or food, please make donations to Salem Baptist Church. A very special thank you to Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North for assisting the family.
