Carl Harvey Reynolds

Carl Harvey Reynolds, 87, of Swansea, S. C. passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Gaston, 121 Oakey Road, Gaston, S. C. 29053 with Rev. Brady Henderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, one hour prior to service in the church.

Mr. Reynolds was born in Lexington County, a son of the late James Brice Reynolds and the late Leona Chavis Reynolds.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of First Baptist Church of Gaston, loved his children and grands, was a carpenter for many years and retired to work at Reynolds Electric.  He also loved racing and was the Owner of Reynolds Garage & Parts.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Powell Reynolds; one daughter, Darlene (Shawn) DeSpain; one son, James Harvey (Patti) Reynolds; grandchildren, Nicole (Calvin) Vance, Wayne (Erika) Neese, Leona (Jason) Staley, Brad (Tim) Stetar, Brice Reynolds and Brianna Reynolds; seven great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Reynolds was predeceased by a sister, Susie Chavis and two brothers, Edward Reynolds and T. W. Reynolds.
