Boynton "B. L." Manuel

Mr. Boynton “B. L.” Manuel, 74, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home in Swansea, SC. He was the owner of Toot’s Towing and Recovery and a lifelong resident of Swansea.He was an original founder and member of Riverbend Fish Club and was the son of the late Boynton “Jack” Manuel and LeMaude Gartman Manuel. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine Ann Manuel; daughters, Lynn (Tony) Rucker of Pelion, Bethany (Rusty) Rawls of Swansea and DiAnn Spurck of Columbia; son, B. L. “Toot” Manuel of Swansea; sisters, Jackie (Francis) Kennerly of Swansea and Patricia Manuel of Shelby, NC; 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons; 3 great-grands and a number of nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Manuel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Paul Pentecostal Church with Rev. H. Larry Jones officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) of North, SC In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
