Bobby Coley Smith

Bobby Coley Smith, 88, of Salley, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at West End Cemetery, 420 Chestnut Street, St. Matthews, S. C. 29135 with Rev. Larry Davis officiating.  The family will receive family and friends at the graveside from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Smith was born in Winnsboro, S. C., a son of the late Coley Langford Smith and the late Geneva Gladden Smith.  He was a member of Izlar Masonic Lodge, #177 AFM and Jamil Shrine Temple. Bobby was an avid golfer at Calhoun Country Club, the Club Champion several times and loved to watch LPGA.  He loved fishing, duck hunting and going to the Broad Water Swamp.  They traveled to all South Carolina Gamecock football games, at home and away, and loved South Carolina Gamecock Women’s basketball.

Survivors include daughters, Debby (Tony) Smith Lucas, Frances (Todd) Smith Butler, Sandra Smith and Bobbie Ann (Kenneth) Yon; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Mr. Smith was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Karwoski Smith; a sister, Betty Kemmerlin and a brother, Tommy Smith.
