Billy Joe Wolfe, Sr., 83, of Swansea, SC died Thursday, April 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home with Rev. Athon Arant officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sandy Run. Mr. Wolfe was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Callie D. and Juanita Rucker Wolfe.He was a commercial truck driver and was a trophy winner in many truck rodeos.He was a very special and loving dad, granddad and great-granddad who was called “Gran-Gran” by his loved ones.He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Merlene A. Wolfe; daughter, Lena W. (Marshall) Stabler; son, Billy Joe Wolfe, Jr; three grandchildren, David O. (Breeah) Stabler, Bryan C. (Kelly) Stabler and Jenna E. Wolfe; three great-grandchildren, Fowler and Brady Stabler and Sage Davis; extended family members include Dennis and Justin Miller, Donovan Canada and Tammy A. Wolfe The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the residence.
