Billy Sarg Hutto

Billy “Sarg” Hutto, 90, of North, SC, died at Atria Senior Living in Columbia on Monday, December 28 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Davis and Rev. Walter Gleaton officiating.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Burial with full military honors will be held at Riverside Cemetery following the service. Mr. Hutto was born in Orangeburg County the son of the late Lilllian “Wink” Hutto Williamson and was raised by Mr. Alfred Leon “Soley” Hutto and Mrs. Minnie Hutto.He was a retired Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.Mr. Hutto was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Curley Gartman Hutto; children, Brenda Headden, Billy Gene Hutto and Bonnie Nobles; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Janice Hair, Lena Mae Jackson, Desaree Jeffcoat, Ludell Gleaton, Nancy Kay Smothers; brother, Lincolin Hutto and a very special army friend, Charles “Chucky” Wildes of Ringold, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com), 4541 Savannah Highway, North, SC. 29112. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
