Bernice Spires Williamson

Bernice Williamson, 87, of Swansea, SC, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Sardis Baptist Church in Swansea with Rev. Dean Reynolds and Rev. Mark Hardenbrook officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM before the service. Mrs. Williamson was born on March 21, 1929, in Swansea, SC, a daughter of the late Grady Harmon and Eva Mae Lucas Spires.She was the widow of the late John David Williamson, Sr.She was a lifelong member of Sardis Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Bobby (Pam) Williamson; daughter, Diane (Eddie) Spires; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four sisters.She was predeceased by a son, John David Williamson, Jr. and daughter, Dorothy Elizabeth Williamson. The family will receive friend’s Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhom.com) and other times at the home of Mrs. Bernice in Swansea.
