Barbara Rose Livingston Jeffcoat born February 16, 1945, passed away on 16 May 2024. Predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Wilson Earl Jeffcoat. She is survived by children Richard (Gina) and Paige (Jason) and Russell (Tonya,)
There are several grandchildren and great grandchildren: Vivian Jeffcoat, Anthony and Andrew Maiorano (Ashley); Leigh Ann Harmon (James), Lauren Mezger (Brian), Savana Tager (Scott), Dakota Forrester; Elijah Jeffcoat, Michael Jeffcoat and Allison Etheridge. Great grandchildren include: Everleigh and John Maiorano; Zachary, Aiden, and Levi Harmon; Rylee and Jacob Mezger; Kota and Atlas Forrester; Autumn, Avery and Cash Tager; Espen Etheridge. She is survived by her Brother, James (Jane) A. Livingston and his family. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara was born in Swansea, a daughter of the late James E. Livingston and Lois Barton.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2024, at North United Methodist Church, 8301 Salley Road, North, S.C. with Pastor Toy and Charles Inglett officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 3:00-4:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Following the service, light refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall.
Barbara began working outside the home right after college. She took on many diverse jobs in many different fields. In 1986, she went back to college and graduated from Limestone University with bachelor’s in business administration. In 1994, she started working full-time in Jeffcoat’s Tax Service and worked there until the day she went to hospital.
Barbara’s dedication was one of discipleship and dedication to churches, boards and non-profits, not just as a participant, but she held leadership positions of each one. Her priority was Local, District and State Methodist Church. She was at the forefront of establishing the Cooperative Ministry of North in 1994. She also was a decision-maker for the County Library board and local School District. She was fondly remembered as Girl Scout leader and Methodist Youth Fellowship director.
She went with Earl on overseas humanitarian mission to Ecuador.
