Bader "Betty" Dell Davis

Mrs. Bader (Betty) Gartman Davis, 70, of Orangeburg, died Monday, April 18, 2016 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Salvation Army Chapel, 791 Nottingham Street, Orangeburg, SC with Captain Robert Long officiating.Burial will be at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Davis was born on December 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Woodrow Gartman and Vera Dell Gleaton Fogle.She was married to the late Jimmy Davis.She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia “Pat” (Noel) Roberts; son James Chavis (Eda Reyes); twins, Wanda Chavis Thomas (Hal Wolfe) and Wayne A. Chavis and grandson, raised in the home of Mrs. Davis, Joe Allen Gartman (Christie); other grandchildren, Fran Roberts, Pvt. Zachery Thomas, Brandon, Alex, Breana, Marley and Mallory Chavis; two great-grandchildren, Haley Gartman and Lexus Dukes.She was predeceased by a son Joseph Gartman and a brother Woodrow “Woody” Gartman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North and other times at the home lf Wanda Thomas, 192 Forestbrook Drive, Neeses, SC. The family would like to thank the Lexington Medical Staff and the Agape Hospice House for their love and care during this time.
