Annie Laura Rawls

Annie Laura Rawls, 96, of Swansea, S. C. went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Mrs. Rawls was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Samuel Ott and the late Laura Sturkie Ott.  She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.  She was born on June 16, 1926 and was a graduate of Swansea High School Class of 1946.  She worked for Central News Company for 27 years before she retired to be a Homemaker.  Mrs. Rawls was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Gaston.

Survivors include son-in-law, Harry (Linda); daughter, Cynthia (Milton); grandchildren, Brad, Sabrina (Luke), Jolynne (Chris), Michael and Pam (Robbie); great grandchildren, Adalynne, Avery, Christopher, Garrett, Allison, Emily, Jason, Charles and Carson and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Jewell Ann Bozard and her brothers and sister.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home, North, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Gaston, 121 Oakey Springs Drive, Gaston, S. C.  29053.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
