Alvin Horace Roof, 86, of North, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:30 p.m., Thursday at the home of Mrs. Lynn Crout, 3451 Whetstone Road, North, SC. He was married to the late Edna Gladys Roof. Survivors include his son Leland Roof; daughter, Cindy Atkins-Prickett; grandchildren, Tim and Trisha Atkins; sisters, Mary Lou Sammons, Jane Wawok and Linda Snyder; brothers, Rick Roof and Bill Roof; great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery fund.
